Abertay University Scholarships 2024/2025

Abertay University is pleased to announce its partially funded scholarships for the 2024-25 academic year, open to international students aspiring to pursue their undergraduate, master’s, or PhD degrees in the United Kingdom. Recognized for its strong academic reputation, Abertay University offers these scholarships to alleviate financial burdens, provide career and academic counseling, and support research and internship opportunities.

The scholarships, worth up to £12,000, are designed to reward outstanding academic records and leadership potential, aiming to nurture the next generation of global leaders.

Eligible candidates must demonstrate excellent academic performance, meet the university’s grade requirements, and exhibit leadership and community involvement. Applications are accepted for three intakes: February, June, and October, with respective deadlines of December 15, April 30, and August 31, 2024.

Prospective students can apply by creating an account on the Abertay University application portal and submitting the required documents, including academic transcripts and proof of financial need. This initiative underscores Abertay University's commitment to fostering educational excellence and supporting international students in their academic and professional journeys.

Benefits of Abertay University Scholarship:

For BS:

• This is an award of up to £12,000 for prospective new international undergraduate students.
• The award is £3,000 per annum, for a maximum of 4 years of total study. 

For MS and PhD:

• This £3,000 award is open to all prospective new international taught postgraduate students.

Note: Successful recipients will have the award deducted from their tuition fees.

This scholarship is open to international students of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria for Abertay University Scholarship:

For BS:

To qualify for this scholarship, you must:

• Be a first-year international student classified under Abertay's overseas fee status.
• Be enrolled full-time in your undergraduate program starting in September.
• Have met all the academic requirements outlined in your admission offer.
• Pursue your studies on campus at Abertay University in Dundee.

Advanced Entry Students:

• Students admitted directly into Level 2 or higher who meet the above criteria are also eligible.

Scholarship Duration:

This scholarship renews for each year of your undergraduate studies, up to a maximum of four years, as long as you remain enrolled full-time on campus in Dundee. Please note, that the award will not be applied during any semesters spent abroad or on industry placements.

For MS and PhD:

This award is open to all prospective new international taught postgraduate students who:

• Are classified as International (Overseas) fee status by Abertay University.
• Are applying for postgraduate study with the equivalent of a UK 2:1 bachelor's degree equivalent or better (approximately 60% and above).
