Scholarship Value and Benefits

  1. Annual bursary of £20,000 to cover tuition fees and living expenses.
  2. Award duration: Up to four academic years.
  3. Number of awards: Only 1 scholarship is available for the 2025/2026 academic year.

The scholarship cannot be deferred and is not available to continuing students.

Eligible Nationalities

This scholarship is open to applicants of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the A&BK Scholarships in Chemical Engineering, students must meet the following conditions by 30th May 2025:

  1. Household Income: Have a household income of £42,000 or less, as verified by the local funding authority (such as SFE, SFW, SAAS, or SFNI).
  2. Fee Status: Possess a Home fee status.
  3. Widening Participation: Be identified as from a 'widening participation' background and meet the contextual admissions schemes criteria.
  4. Course Enrollment: Plan to begin an undergraduate course in Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering in 2025/2026.
  5. Admission Offer: Have received an offer of admission to study a full-time undergraduate course in the Department of Chemical Engineering.
